Introduction to Brigitte Swainson

France is my country of origin.  30 years ago I fell in love with Scotland while roaming the hills, glens and lochs with my young family and have never left since.

I lived in Linlithgow where Mary Queen of Scot was born. Her life, like Scottish history,  is intrinsically linked to France. I love to tell the story of Scotland when European interests and religion fashioned the destiny of the country and its queens and kings. The French legacy can be found everywhere; in architecture, art and even the Scots language.

I have always loved communicating my enthusiasm for Scotland and its culture. I take great pleasure in sharing the delights of my country of adoption.

Laissez-moi vous raconter l’Écosse! Mon professionnalisme et enjouement vous feront passer des moments inoubliables.

TOP TIP FOR VISITORS

The weather changes very quickly. Make sure you are dressed like an onion – with lots of layers which you can peel off. Come prepared for the wind and rain but also for the heat!

IF YOU ONLY DO ONE THING IN SCOTLAND

Do a tour of Edinburgh – a combined walking tour of the Old and the New town will give you a perspective on Scotland past and present and an appreciation of this gorgeous Unesco Site.

I want to make your stay in Scotland really special!
